Saturday | December 16, 2023 | 11:30 - 2:30 PM PST | Guest spaces available: 8 Location: The Well Lived Woman, Topanga Canyon, CA Learn how to create your own patterned fabric in this introduction to block printing. Just in time for the holidays, this sustainable technique will allow us to create our own custom-designed reusable set of 3 gift bags in 3 sizes - a small jewelry bag, medium bag and large tote. Create your own print using precut shapes or design your own pattern by carving out soft blocks using a lino-cutting tool and stamping onto the bags provided. Everyone will be encouraged to share their cuts to allow for variety and cross-collaboration. No art experience is necessary. Everyone at all skill levels is welcome. Please come to the session with a photo of a pattern you would like to create. Bio:Danielle Hutchens is a Topanga-based painter and ceramicist and uses a sustainable practice to bring an earthy essence to her pieces.
