FOR THE BOOK LOVERS

Looking for your next read? We're in Summer reading season now. These are the last 5 books I’ve read.

1. pineapple street BY JENNY JACKSON

Fun and easily entertaining about family dynamics and privileged people in Brooklyn. It’s always fun when the location a book is set in is a character in the story.

2. RODHAM BY CURIS SITTENFELD

A reimagining of Hilary Rodham Clinton's life if she had broken up with Bill instead of marrying him. Kind of like Sliding Doors (the movie) but with lots of well-researched facts informing the fictionalization of these very public figures.

3. ROMANTIC COMEDY BY CURTIS SITTENFELD

Romance meets Saturday Night Live. Light and fun.

4. NORMAL FAMILY BY ChRYSTA BILTON

A memoir of a Los Angeles woman conceived via sperm donor finds out she has hundreds of siblings. It’s a true story and the name dropping and bizarre reality is fascinating.

I'm sure you’ve seen this book shared in a bunch of places, and for good reason! It’s excellent. I so appreciate when a writer can get me to engage and care about a subject I don’t have any interest in. This book expanded my horizons and I loved every minute of it. An additional perk is that it’s pretty long so I got to revel in it for awhile.
