Perimenopause: Meeting the Transition with Compassion
Saturday | August 08, 2026 | 2:30 - 5:00 PM PT
Guest spaces available: 15
Location: Subtle Senses Wellness, Silverlake
Perimenopause is often spoken about in terms of symptoms to fix. But what if it is also an invitation to listen more deeply to your body?
In this gentle, reflective workshop, we'll explore the hormonal changes of perimenopause through both contemporary understandings of hormonal health and more holistic notions of bodies, while making space for the emotional, physical, and personal transitions that often accompany this season of life.
Together we'll create a compassionate space to better understand what's happening in your body, reconnect with your own rhythms, and discover practical ways to support yourself with greater understanding and care.
Through journaling, conversation, gentle Hormone Yin Yoga practices, and other simple body-based exercises, we'll slow down, explore what your body may be communicating, and experiment with practical ways of working with your body's changing rhythms.
Rather than focusing on fixing ourselves, this workshop invites curiosity, self-compassion, and a deeper relationship with the wisdom of a body in transition. The practical tools you'll take home are offered as gentle ways to support and care for yourself as you navigate this season of life.
You'll leave with:
A deeper understanding of the perimenopausal transition
Gentle practices to support yourself at home
Pamphlet with key insights, journal prompts, and resources for further exploration
The workshop is facilitated by Dr. Elin Linder , a social anthropologist researching the lived experiences, care, and medical contexts of menstrual health, including the perimenopausal transition. Her work brings together cultural understanding, embodied experience, and gentle practices that invite greater curiosity, compassion, and connection with the body.
