The Heroine’s Journey workshop is designed to help participants own the arc of their life's narrative by using archetypal energy and wisdom to connect with their highest knowing. This immersive workshop combines teaching, light processing discussions, experiential activities, and hands-on activities to guide participants through a journey of insight and self-discovery. Key topics include understanding the archetypes at play in each of our lives, how we can harness this knowledge to navigate life’s obstacles, and tangible ways to connect to your higher self.

This day-long retreat is an experience that will help make the subconscious conscious and move participants past a state of intellectual awareness and into a deeper state of being. Activities include an expressive arts session, archetypal tea blending, guided meditation, and immersive journaling. Participants can expect to connect with like-minded individuals, develop tools to overcome the twists and turns life gifts us, and embody the sage insight of their most aligned archetype. A light lunch will be provided and every participant will go home with their own unique tea blend and tools to further their journaling practice.

Rooted in San Francisco, Kat deVos specializes in holistic psychotherapy to empower women through various life transitions, including anxiety management, navigating “stuckness” and integrating the profound changes of parenthood. With over a decade of experience, she has honed her unique approach, blending evidence-based practices with clinical insight and intuitive wisdom all in service of guiding clients back to the innate knowledge held in their bodies. Additionally, she has studied and trained in yoga, meditation, birth-work, reiki, Buddhist Psychology, and herbalism, all of which inform the way she views her work: as a science, but also an art, with a little bit of mysticism sprinkled in.

Julia Childs is a writer and therapist based in Pasadena, CA. As a therapist, she holds two things as healing guides: The wisdom of the creative mind and the power of the clinical relationship. She brings a heart-centered, warm, and intuitive approach to therapy by honoring the relationship between soul, self, and the systemic structures in our lives. Passionate about supporting those with intersectional identities, her practice focuses on creative people of color experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma.

With a background as a writer, she brings an awareness of the pressures, worries, and joys creative arts professionals encounter. Her love for creative expression is alive within her clinical work through the use of symbolism, explorations of how the subconscious mind colors the external world, and guiding clients toward their innate ancestral knowing. Trained in treating PTSD and sexual trauma, she tends to intergenerational wounds and the effects trauma can have on one’s lineage. Additionally, she is trained in EMDR trauma therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy), utilizing this somatic modality when words fail to do us justice. In her writing work, she focuses on the intersections of creativity, mental health, and social justice. She has penned articles for Parents, Verywell Mind, and Shape and is currently at work on a memoir about generational trauma, grief, and healing. She comes to this work honestly, is guided by the spirit of those who came before her, and cannot wait to see your evolution.
